Frequently Asked Dentistry Questions
Before your first appointment at Capehart Dental, we know you may have some questions for our dentist and team. Below, you’ll see the answers to some of our most frequently asked dentistry questions, but we are happy to answer any of your other questions. Simply contact our Lewisville, TX dental office, and one of our knowledgeable team members will be happy to help you. We welcome patients from throughout the DFW Metroplex and surrounding communities.
How often should I visit the Dentist?
You need to visit Capehart Dental at least two times each year. During these dental checkups, we’ll examine your smile, clean your teeth, and partner with you to develop a plan for ongoing oral health care.
Am I a candidate for Invisalign?
Many patients with over, under, and crossbite, as well as those with less extensive orthodontic needs, are great candidates for Invisalign orthodontics. Schedule a consultation with us to find out for sure. We’ll examine your smile and make recommendations for the best treatment options.
How will I know if I need a root canal?
The only way to know for sure is to contact our team, so we can schedule an appointment for you. However, the following symptoms may indicate a need for root canal therapy:
- Severe toothache
- Dental sensitivity
- Changes in the color of the tooth
- Swelling, inflammation, or infection in the gums around the tooth
What can I do about missing teeth?
Dr. Capehart can replace your missing teeth with a bridge, dental implants, or partial dentures. To determine which option is best for you, call our dental office and arrange a dental visit.
What kind of safety measures can I expect?
At Capehart Dental, your comfort and safety are important to us! We only use digital radiography, which is currently the safest means possible to take X-rays. All instruments are thoroughly sterilized after every use, and our dental office follows all prescribed safety and cleanliness measures to the letter.
What if I’m anxious about my dental visit?
Our friendly staff will do everything possible to put you at ease. Our treatment rooms include comfortable chairs, cable TV's, and DVD's. You can even surf the Internet on your laptop or tablet. And if you need additional relaxation for your treatment, we offer oral sedation.
What if I need a cosmetic smile solution?
For an instant smile improvement, we recommend our teeth whitening services. You can have a brighter smile by ten shades! If your smile is damaged or discolored, then we also offer custom-made veneers. Please contact us to discuss your cosmetic dentistry needs.
